THE BOARDS of India's largest private sector bank ICICI Bank Ltd and Bank of Rajasthan Ltd (BoR) will meet to finalize the acquisition of BoR by ICICI Bank. Last week, ICICI Bank announced it would take over BoR for around Rs3,000 crore.

The price band will be announced on 24 May and the IDRs will be listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange.
NATIONAL WORKSHOP on environmental regulation reforms will be organized to discuss environmental governance in India. The workshop will be chaired by minister of state for environment and forest Jairam Ramesh.

PRESIDENT PRATIBHA Patil will start a five-day official visit to China to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
During her visit, Patil is expected to meet Chinese President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao. The two sides will discuss bilateral, regional and global issues.
