MONDAY

A NATIONAL seminar of speakers of state assemblies as well as the chairpersons of financial committees is being organized in New Delhi by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India.

Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar will inaugurate the seminar, which will focus on promoting effectiveness of the legisl tures in ensuring good governance.

THE CONFEDERATION of Indian Indus try (CII) and ministry of defence will organizing a seminar on future antitank guided missiles at Dr D.S. Kothari Auditorium in the DRDO Bhawan.

Minister of state for defence M.M. Pallam Raju will be the chief guest.

THURSDAY

MINES MINISTER B.K. Handique will leave for Canada on a six day visit to invite leading mining companies to India.

He will hold talks with his Canadian counterpart and mining industry leaders interested in the Indian market.

CII AND ministry of food processing industry will organize a two day food safety and quality summit on “India--the Food Factory of the World--Food Safety Challenges and Opportunities“ at The Lalit.

Minister of food processing industries Subodh Kant Sahai will address the session on Friday.

FRIDAY

CII WILL organize an event “CII-India@75: Creating an inclusive India by 2022“ at The Maurya Hotel in New Delhi.

Planning Commission member Arun Maira will be the chief guest on the occasion.
