MONDAY
THE RESERVE Bank of India (RBI) will release its macroeconomic review.

TUESDAY
THE INDIA meteorological department will officially forecast monsoon for 2010.
This year's forecast assumes extra significance, in light of last year's drought--the worst in nearly four decades--which contributed to a lower gross domestic product and decreased rural spending.
US DEPUTY secretary of state James Steinberg arrives in India for a three day visit, during which he is also expected to travel to Bangladesh. Steinberg, who is on his first visit to the two countries after becoming the deputy secretary, is expected to meet officials and political leaders in New Delhi, Kolkata and Dhaka and discuss a range of bilateral and multilateral issues.
